the ugly vest

for those of you requesting more clothing posts - well here you go.

im not sure what drew me to this hideous vest [but i love it...], maybe it's the stereotypical canadian lumberjack or bridgewater influence coming out in me. a frenchy's find. haven't been there in ages - forgot how much i loved it. but i figure, hey, if i don't use it ever again, at least its great for canadian summer camping!

i like to keep myself busy with little projects. and i like to paint. the front room of the house was dark and frankly, in need of a makeover. so the three came together and here i was, over the past few days, painting away - with the help of some lovely companions: isabel and peguin prison.

after some patching, some sanding, comes priming! starting to restore the beautiful radiator as well...i can finally breath again in here as well. so bright and airy!

in light of my impending trip to mexico [less than two weeks], an array of things i am looking forward to.

i had decided to go to mexico many, many months ago to visit my dear friend aldo, and see a mexico different from my brief trip to cancun in 2007.  But not until tonight - and after hours of sitting on google maps seeing what looked cool from satellite range - has the excitement and reality of it kicked in! this is the longest i've been sitting around in halifax [since september] and my itchy feet are rearing to go. viva mexico!
