a-maze-ing

about a month ago, i took a very lovely festive fall trip with some fantastic ladies. we headed to the cornmaze at riverbreeze farm.

our first assumption was that the maze would be super easy because a. we had a map, b. the walkways were wide and c. there were children racing around [if stupid children can do it, then obviously we could]  we were kinda wrong. we ended up losing our map [much to emma's dismay, thanks kathleen] and getting disoriented so many times that it was actaully pathetic, and we even had to ask about a 'corn-undrum' joke posted along the way. {the answer was 'redneck'.. for any of you fellow corn-mazers that were really confused.}

the day was followed by petting some cute animals and trying out anything we could that was of 'adult' size at the small park. we then drove to a farmers market and filled our stomachs with some tasty homemade treats like fudge, oh-henry squares {AMAZING}, ginger cookies and the likes.

it was a really nice day, and the scenery driving from halifax to truro area is absolutely gorgeous. anyone who's driven that route knows exactly what i'm talking about! it was also nice to introduce new friends to old friends.  here are some pictures :)
